Chocolate chip cookies are classic treats loved for their soft, chewy texture and irresistible combination of buttery dough and sweet chocolate chips. They're typically made with ingredients like flour, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, baking soda, salt, and of course, chocolate chips. These cookies are often enjoyed fresh from the oven, with the warm, gooey chocolate melting in your mouth. They're perfect for any occasion, from casual snacking to special celebrations.
Ingredients:
-1 cup butter (at room temperature)
-1 cup sugar (half white and half brown)
-2 eggs (large)
-1 teaspoon vanilla essence
-2 cups of flour (all purpose)
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 cups chocolate chips (you can use semisweet or milk)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 180°C and prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Beat the butter with both types of sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
3️⃣ Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla essence.
4️⃣ Mix the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
5️⃣ Gradually combine the flour mixture with the butter and sugar mixture until forming a soft dough.
6️⃣ Add the chocolate chips to the dough and mix well.
7️⃣ Form the dough into balls using an ice cream scoop or a large spoon, and place them on the baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
8️⃣ Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
9️⃣ Let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
For a special touch, try adding chopped walnuts or almonds to the mixture.
If you prefer softer cookies, remove from the oven a little earlier and let them cool on the tray.
Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh longer.
Enjoy your delicious chocolate chip cookies❤
