Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) beef or chicken, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions:
- 1. Season the sliced meat with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced meat and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 3. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed, then add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- 4. Add the sliced bell pepper, carrot, broccoli florets, and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender but still crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
- 5. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey or brown sugar, and minced ginger.
- 6. Return the cooked meat to the skillet and pour the sauce over everything. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- 7. Serve the meat and vegetables over cooked rice or noodles.
