SIMPLE RECIPE FOR A CLASSIC OMELETTE

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Optional: diced vegetables (bell peppers, onions, tomatoes) and shredded cheese
Instructions:
  1. 1-Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and beat them until well mixed.

  2. 2-Heat the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted.

  3. 3-If using vegetables, sauté them in the butter until they're tender.

  4. 4-Pour the beaten eggs over the vegetables in the skillet.

  5. 5-Allow the eggs to set slightly around the edges, then gently lift the edges with a spatula, tilting the skillet to let the uncooked egg flow underneath.

  6. 6-Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle shredded cheese over half of the omelette (if desired).

  7. 7-Fold the other half of the omelette over the cheese and vegetables.

  8. 8-Cook for another minute or until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked to your liking.

  9. 9-Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
