Healthy Recipe for Grilled Turkey Breast with Lemon and Ginger Glaze

0

Ingredients:

  • 1 turkey breast (about 2-3 pounds)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. 1. Prepare the Turkey Breast:

    • If the turkey breast is frozen, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight. Pat it dry with paper towels. Remove any excess fat if necessary.

  2. 2. Prepare the Marinade:

    • In a bowl, mix together lemon juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper. This will be your marinade and glaze.
  1. 3. Marinate the Turkey:

    • Place the turkey breast in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the turkey breast, making sure it's evenly coated. Cover or seal the bag and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

  2. 4. Preheat the Grill:

    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375-400°F or 190-200°C).
  1. 5. Grill the Turkey Breast:

    • Remove the turkey breast from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Place the turkey breast on the preheated grill. Grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the turkey is cooked through, with nice grill marks.

  2. 6. Glaze the Turkey:

    • During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the turkey breast with the remaining marinade/glaze. Continue to grill until the glaze caramelizes slightly and the turkey is fully cooked.
  1. 7. Rest and Serve:

    • Remove the turkey breast from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
    • Slice the turkey breast against the grain into thin slices. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley, if desired.

  2. 8. Serve:

    • Serve the grilled turkey breast slices hot, alongside your favorite side dishes like roasted vegetables, salad, or mashed potatoes.
