Easy recipe : pan meatball casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with cooking spray or oil.


  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.


  3. 3. Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.

  1. 4. Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs, making sure they are all coated.


  2. 5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the sauce.


  3. 6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.


  4. 7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown.


  5. 8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.
